Bins for Contaminated waste

Contaminated waste

When it comes to contaminated waste, we might think of clothes, rags, absorbent material, empty packaging and gloves etc. contaminated with hydrocarbons, paint, ink, glue, varnish or solvents.

What happens with Contaminated waste

The waste is treated in rotating drum furnaces at temperatures of between 1,100 and 1,200 °C. Combustion gas is then treated at even higher temperatures in a post combustion chamber. The heat generated is used as a source of in-house energy or to drive an alternator which generates electricity for our own needs or to supply the electricity grid.
