Flat glass

Flat glass is sub-divided into three categories. Quality A covers pure production waste. Quality B comprises post-consumption waste: double glazing, laminated glass or toughened glass for windscreens and windows, glass contaminated with sealant residue, mirrors and white or coloured security glass. Quality C is not recyclable and includes heat-resistant glass, glass-ceramic, glass wall tiles, stained glass and crystal etc.

What happens with Flat glass

We clean flat glass of all impurities and reduce it to shards that can be used in their entirety as primary material for the production of new glass. This leads to a considerable savings in terms of basic, primary materials such as sand, lime, sodium carbonate and CO2.
